In the early 1970s, he was on the international free jazz stage, performing at major European festivals with his Tomasz Stanko Quintet. In the 1980s, he collaborated with Cecil Taylor and led bands inspired by reggae, latino, electronic, and rap. This album, recorded live in West Germany and unavailable for 40 years, has been newly remastered for the best sound quality.
