Moriyama

Moriyama is the debut release on Palto Flats by Nagoya-based experimental producer Foodman (Takahide Higuchi). This 5-track 12' record features deep, tactile rhythms and offbeat tracks, showcasing some of the producer's most danceable work. 'Mizuboro' makes you feel like soaking in a warm bath of bassy synth pads, with metronomic woodwinds and skittering percussion perfect for late-night moods. On 'Soudesu,' Foodman combines traditional instruments and vocal forms to create a unique post-ambient/dance blend. Named after the district where he lives, Moriyama represents Foodman's most straightforward and accessible music. Foodman is a globally renowned artist from the Japanese Footwork/experimental scene, and he's now moving towards more abstract, ambient compositions.
