Graveyard Island

Grade 2, a UK punk band hailing from the Isle of Wight since 2013, is a young three - piece. It consists of Sid Ryan on bass and lead vocals, Jack Chatfield on guitar and vocals, and Jacob Hull on drums. Their music features a classic punk sound, fast and hard, with melodic guitar and vocal parts. Influenced by punk legends like The Clash, The Jam, and The Stranglers. During their tours, they caught the attention of Lars Frederiksen (Rancid), who introduced them to Tim Armstrong. Armstrong was so impressed that he not only agreed to produce their upcoming record but also signed them to Hellcat Records. In December last year, Grade 2 went to Los Angeles and spent two weeks recording the dozen songs of Graveyard Island. Vocalist/bassist Sid Ryan said Armstrong is very efficient and aimed to capture their onstage sound in the studio.
