This is a vinyl LP pressing. Vertical Scratchers features John Schmersal (from ex-Brainiac/Enon, live Caribou, and Crooks on Tape) and Christian Beaulieu (from ex-Triclops!/Anywhere). A prominent element throughout the record is the percussive way the guitars are played and recorded. Here, guitar - playing is like vertical scratching, and the guitar strums are often louder than the amps. John says, 'When writing Vertical Scratchers songs, we aimed to keep a sense of urgency and raw energy without relying on high volume and distortion.'

To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Place the vinyl gently on the turntable and start the player. Use the tonearm carefully to lower it onto the record. When you're done, lift the tonearm back to its rest position and cover the record to protect it from dust. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Avoid touching the playing surface of the vinyl with your fingers as it can leave oils and dirt, which may affect the sound quality.
