This 2018 vinyl LP release, 'Bloom,' is an incredibly sweet and intimate musical work. As its name suggests, it unfolds something grand and universal from its core. It's packed with great tunes - a whirlwind of 80s synth - pop, modern crisp production, timeless ballads, and lively dance - music. Its bold and subtle elements seamlessly connect artistry with accessibility. Troye Sivan carefully brought his vision to life. He first co - wrote songs with trusted collaborators Bram Inscore, Allie X, and Leland. Then he took these songs to producer Ariel Rechtshaid (worked with HAIM, Usher, Kelela) and started new creations in Sweden with Max Martin's MXM crew. Drawing inspiration from a wide sonic moodboard including Madonna, This Mortal Coil, Phil Collins, Perfume Genius, Drake, and Sky Ferreira, he crafted a unique sound. This sound ranges from the liberating rhythm of 'My My My!,' the epic stadium - rock of 'Animal,' to the warm feel of the Ariana Grande duet 'Dance to This.'
