Description

Our prior LP releases of Grateful Dead concerts from the Dick's Picks series covered 1969, 1972, 1974, and 1977. But 1973, the peak year of Dead touring, was missing. That's why we chose Dick's Picks Vol. 19 for our next vinyl release. It was the first concert of the fall Midwest tour and the first full 1973 concert to be released at that time. Just days before, the band released Wake of the Flood, bringing fresh energy and great new songs like 'Stella Blue' and 'Eyes of the World'. The long - form 'Playing in the Band' and 'Dark Star' are improvisational masterpieces, leading to a mind - blowing 'Mind Left Body Jam' and a moving 'Morning Dew'. The original sound mix is excellent, and we've worked hard to preserve and enhance it. The vinyl is mastered from original tapes by Jeffrey Norman, with lacquer cutting by Clint Holley and Dave Polster at Well Made Music, and pressed on 180 - gram black vinyl at Gotta Groove Records. We've also included an insert with original graphics in a hand - numbered two - piece hardshell box. Only 4,500 6 - LP sets are available, so they'll sell fast!

Using this vinyl record is easy. Just place it on your turntable and use the tonearm to drop the needle gently on the groove. When you're done listening, carefully lift the tonearm and return it to its rest. Keep the record away from direct sunlight and heat to prevent warping. Avoid touching the grooves with your fingers as it can leave oils and dirt that affect sound quality. Clean the record regularly with a record cleaning brush. Store the record in its hardshell box when not in use to protect it from scratches and dust. Remember, this is a limited - edition item, so handle it with care to enjoy it for years to come.
