Bones of Brian Jones / Ghouls Boogie

BATMOTH is an original three - piece garage rock band from Portland, OR. Brad Hurley from Tennessee handles guitar, vocals, and lyrics. Camille Rose Garcia from Los Angeles plays the bass guitar, and Sam Dodd from the unknown depths plays the drums. Brad Hurley founded BATMOTH while apprenticing for Camille Rose Garcia. Sam Dodd became the band's first drummer after meeting Camille and Brad along the Smith River in Gasquet, CA. Both 'Bones of Brian Jones' and 'Ghouls Boogie' were penned in a Northern California Redwood Forest cabin where Brad lived in 2017. Brad Hurley's lyrics use poetic metaphors, blending multiple stories into one song. 'Bones of Brian Jones' explores the shadowy aspects of what you cherish and how you'll react emotionally. 'Ghouls Boogie' is one of the rare lyric - less and vocal - melody - free songs. It started as an improvisation and took shape after the root rhythm was set.
