Description
This is a limited vinyl LP released in 2017. The Dark Red Seed, a musical project by Tosten Larson (guitarist for Seattle dark - folk musician King Dude) and King Dude engineer Shawn Flemming, is a 'metaphor for the heart' directly related to life and death. 'The Dark Red Seed Stands with Death' is a dark and dusty exploration of life's departure and dissolution. Through Larson's haunting, Cash - like delivery, it powerfully expresses absolute loss. Each of the EP's three songs delves into different aspects of death, such as the death of America, culture, and reality due to technology and globalization, creating a living, breathing sound. Tosten Larson, from Kalispell, Montana and now based in Portland, Oregon, started his classical training at his grandmother's piano. His music, deeply rooted in American traditions, is influenced by art rock, Eastern masters, and hard rock, yet defies categorization.
