Description

The Ronettes Featuring Veronica comes on 180g vinyl. This girl group hails from New York City's 'Spanish Harlem,' centered around the charming lead singer Veronica Bennett (later Ronnie Spector), joined by her sister Estelle and cousin Nedra Talley. Most tracks on this album were first released as singles between 1961 - 1963 on the Colpix and May labels, produced by the famous Stu Phillips. Initially named Ronnie and The Relatives, they made a splash at a Joey Dee & The Starliters show at the Peppermint Lounge in Manhattan with Ray Charles' What'd I Say. They spent weeks there and changed their name to The Ronettes. Their iconic look with over - the - top eye makeup and teased hair was unforgettable. After the Colpix and May singles didn't hit big, their contract ended in 1963. Then, producer Phil Spector signed them, and they scored numerous hits starting with the timeless Be My Baby. In 1965, 'The Ronettes Featuring Veronica,' an album of their early recordings, was released in the US, Holland, and Great Britain right after Spector released their only studio album on his Philles label.

To use this vinyl record, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable, center it, and then lower the needle carefully onto the lead - in groove. Sit back and enjoy the classic sounds of The Ronettes. When handling the record, always hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface. After each use, return the record to its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store the record upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent warping. If the record gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials on the record.
