Predecessors

This is a vinyl LP pressing. Americana/folk duo Shovels & Rope, made up of Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent, began as solo artists. They released records under their own names from the mid - late 2000s to early 2010s. In 2008, they collaborated on the album Shovels & Rope and decided to tour together. Their live shows combined songs from Hearst's Lions and Lambs (2011), Trent's The Winner (2010), and their collaborative album, previewing the band we know today. Dualtone presents Predecessors, a three - LP package. It includes Hearst's Lions and Lambs, Trent's The Winner, and a third LP with never - before - released Shovels & Rope archive material.
