Lund - St. Petri Symphony

In 1978, I first visited Lund, Sweden. There, I met Jean Sellem, who ran 'The Galleri St. Petri: Dedicated To Modern Art and Thought'. He was among the first to recognize the beauty of Continuous Music. As an unknown at the time, I needed his support. Together, we conceived a multi - piano work with three pianos in stages. It was first performed on a small upright piano in his gallery in 1978 and named THE LUND. St. PETRI SYMPHONY due to its symphonic grandeur. The 1979 Lund - St. Petri Symphony is Lubomyr Melnyk's second album and his first double - piano composition. Early minimalist elements crucial to Continuous Music are clearly seen here. This limited Double LP set of only 1000 copies sold out within a year of production.
