Co - released with Shagrat Records. Fifty years after her debut LP, Ask Me No Questions, on John Peel's Dandelion label, Bridget St. John drops her first live vinyl. It's high time! In the past decades, she released four stunning LPs in the 70s, then took a break after moving to the US. In the 90s, important archival recordings on John Tobler's Road Goes on Forever and Nigel Cross's Shagrat label emerged. She also resumed live performances, like at Phil McMullen's Boston Terrastock. With Live at the Betsey Trotwood, Bridget shows her musical magic is as strong as ever. Recorded beautifully at the Betsey in London, the set combines new originals like 'Castaway' and 'The Hole in Your Heart' with classics such as 'Fly High' and 'Ask Me No Questions', along with great covers. From Joni Mitchell's 'The Fiddle and the Drum' to a Trump - inspired 'America the Beautiful', and a sweet take on Michael Chapman's 'Rabbit Hills'. Listening to it, you'll think of Chapman, as both their voices and guitar skills have only gotten better with time.
