Their 2012 self - released four - song EP and roof - raising live shows had already sparked great interest. Produced by Ben Tanner of Alabama Shakes, and recorded and mixed in the famous R&B hub of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, the album pays homage to the region's classic Soul roots while adding electrifying power. Half the City offers a vital, direct, and emotionally - impactful sound, just like their live performances.
