This 2013 debut vinyl LP album comes from a futurist Dub Pop duo. The duo consists of bassist/vocalist Conrad Standish and guitarist Tom Carlyon, both formerly of the noir Rock group Devastations. Building on the final Devastations album, it shifts from full - band arrangements to submerged electronic rhythms and late - night altered states. The whole album has a surreal chic atmosphere. Standish sings dark, absurdist lyrics in a rich baritone or impressive falsetto over the band's shiny take on Dub, a sensual, ultramodern style with deep vibrations.
