Close It Quietly takes Frankie Cosmos' trademark micro - universe and turns it upside down, expanding into a whirl of references, a big change from earlier releases. Throughout the album, it re - imagines motifs and sounds. The band's fourth studio album shows their collaborative spirit. Greta Kline and her longtime bandmates Lauren Martin (synth), Luke Pyenson (drums), and Alex Bailey (bass) spent quality studio time with Gabe Wax, who engineered and co - produced the record with the band.
