Fortunately, the great composition teacher Nadia Boulanger inspired her Argentinian student to draw on those roots. Piazzolla finally found his true voice as a composer and bandoneon virtuoso. Today, he's regarded as the father of modern tango, fusing rhythmic energy with orchestral textures. This LP compilation showcases that the founder of Tango Nuevo left behind a unique musical style that still sounds fresh and lively today.
