This is a limited edition 1-LP 180gm pressing of the first volume of the original Chet Baker in Paris album, originally released on Barclay Records. The album is remastered from the original master tapes and comes in single sleeves with original jackets and liner notes. In October 1955, Chet Baker and his Quartet held a series of concerts, especially in France. Volume One features the first two recording sessions on October 11 and 14, 1955. With Richard 'Dick' Twardzik on piano, Jimmy Bond on bass, and Peter Littmann on drums, Chet performs eight original pieces by Robert L. 'Bob' Zieff and one by Twardzik. It's a great addition for jazz lovers, showing Chet's emotional and avant - garde music style.
