Description
Woke at dawn, sensed nature spirits watching. Saw a black shape through the window. Then, the adventure in the nearby forest began. With no set path, through woods and over mountains. Suddenly bathed in light, under the raven's wings. Numb, then awakened by a thud and the silhouettes of three. An embrace completed the circle. Mother of God, formed in 2008 in Morgardshammar, Sweden, took a modern approach to rock, moving away from the '70s retro style. They blend '70s rock appreciation with grunge and early '90s heavy grooves, like Soundgarden and Alice in Chains mixed with Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. On their Small Stone debut, Anthropos, they bring a unique emotional touch, always surprising. The band released two EPs before. Anthropos was recorded and mixed in Borlange by Erik Nerback and Chris Goosman mastered it. Sanna Albenius, Robin Gnista, and Alexander von Wieding did the art and layout. Mother of God has played festivals like Getaway Rock, Wacken Open Air, and Peace & Love, sharing the stage with YOB, Dozer, and more. They'll keep rocking Scandinavia and beyond, showing their eclectic sound to all who think they know heavy rock.
To enjoy Anthropos, simply play it on your favorite music - playing device. You can listen while relaxing at home, driving, or during your workouts. There aren't many special precautions, but make sure your audio equipment is in good condition for the best sound. To maintain the album's quality, if you have a physical copy, keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If it's a digital copy, ensure your storage device is safe and backed up regularly. Enjoy the unique blend of rock and grunge that Mother of God offers!
