Nanna, initially an acoustic act known as Songbird, added more musicians for a solo show. She loved how her vocals blended with guitarist/vocalist Ragnar 'Raggi' Þórhallsson's, so they started writing songs together and became Of Monsters and Men in 2010. Winning 2010's Músiktilraunir, they got a spot at the influential Iceland Airwaves festival that year. Seattle's radio station KEXP posted 'Little Talks' from a Living Room Session, creating a big impact.
