Jamie Saft, one of the most productive artists in the RareNoise roster, has been part of recordings by Metallic Taste of Blood, Slobber Pup, and many other groups. He's also collaborated with Steve Swallow, Bobby Previte, and others. But until now, he'd never recorded a solo piano album. Solo A Genova is his emotionally charged interpretation of jazz standards and uniquely American compositions. Recorded in the acoustically amazing Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova, Italy, it features Saft on a 9 - foot Steinway Model D piano, presenting captivating piano arrangements of tunes by Curtis Mayfield, John Coltrane, and many more.
