Leo Parker was the first bebop bari sax player and part of Billy Eckstine’s Unholy Four saxophone section with Dexter Gordon in the mid - 40s. Personal troubles sidelined him in the 50s. In 1961, he made a tragically short comeback, recording two Blue Note sessions, including 'Rollin’ With Leo' just months before his death.
