This is a vinyl LP pressing. Operators, a Montreal - based project by Daniel Boeckner (from Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs, Divine Fits), Devojka, and Sam Brown (Divine Fits, New Bomb Turks), is back with a bang. In 2014, they released an EP ('EP1'), and in 2016, their first LP ('Blue Wave'). Now, the follow - up full - length album, 'Radiant Dawn', is here. With 9 tracks, it combines raw analog hardware with Boeckner's unique voice, creating an immersive cinematic sound. Instrumental intertitles between tracks enhance the 1970s sci - fi dystopian vibe. For fans of Boeckner, 'Radiant Dawn' is the next logical step in his two - decade career, full of fresh energy. Written and recorded in 2018 and early 2019 in Montreal and Vancouver Island, Arcade Fire's Tim Kingsbury played bass and arranged the closing track 'Low Life'. The LP was mixed by Wolf Parade's Arlen Thompson and Montreal engineer Napster Vertigo (who also produced it), and mastered by the Lodge's Emily Lazar, a Grammy winner in 2019.
