Description
This limited vinyl LP-only pressing comes with a digital download. It's the first full-length release by a Kansas City singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Gluck, a veteran player and session musician who has contributed bass, guitar, piano, keys, background vocals, accordion, and lap steel on over 30 albums, has collaborated with Juliana Hatfield's Some Girls, Margot & The Nuclear So & Sos, Lily & Madeleine, Simirit, and many others. In 2015, Heidi released her first solo EP, The Only Girl In The Room, showing her understated vocals, smart arrangements, and confessional lyrics. On Pony Show, her refined arrangements support melancholy lyrics sung in a delicate, confident, and genuine voice, inspired by Canadian legends Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, and their Laurel Canyon pop recordings from the 60s and 70s.
