This is a digitally remastered vinyl LP of the 1976 album 'Poet' by the renowned Finnish pianist, composer, and conductor Olli Ahvenlahti. Since the 70s, Ahvenlahti has been a top - tier Jazz artist in Finland. The 70s dancefloor Jazz groove left a huge mark on the Finnish Jazz scene. The track 'Grandma's Rocking Chair' from 'Poet' is a gem of that era. It was featured on the 1976 original pressing and was sampled by legendary US House producer Kenny Dope for his record 'The Illout'. Since 1990, Ahvenlahti has conducted at the Eurovision Song Contest in Finland and worked for the Finnish radio and TV company YLE.
