On Time Out of Time

On Time Out of Time is an amazing suite of works initially commissioned for the 2017 installations 'ER=EPR' and 'Orbihedron' by artists Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand, in cooperation with Jean - Marc Chomaz and LIGO. It was curated by Isabel de Sena for the 'Limits of Knowing' exhibition at Martin - Gropius - Bau, Berlin. These works use exclusive source recordings from LIGO's interferometers, capturing the sounds of two distant massive black holes merging 1.3 billion years ago. The CD and digital versions have two tracks: the 40 - minute title track 'On Time Out of Time' and '4(E+D)4(ER+EPR)', a live - recorded track from the installation. The vinyl LP has two unique mixes of the title track: 'On Time Out of Time' on side A and 'On Time Out of Time (The Lovers)' on side B, specially made for vinyl.

Using this product is easy. For the CD and digital formats, you can play them on your regular music - playing devices like CD players or music apps on your phone or computer. Just insert the CD or open the digital file, and you're good to go. For the vinyl LP, make sure you have a proper turntable. Place the record gently on the turntable, set the tonearm on the starting groove, and enjoy the unique sound. When handling the CD, avoid touching the playing surface to prevent scratches. Keep it in its case when not in use. For the vinyl LP, always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the grooves. Store it vertically in a cool, dry place to maintain its quality. And don't forget to clean your turntable's stylus regularly to get the best sound from the vinyl.
