Description

In 1984, Rimarimba released the enchanting album On Dry Land. On this record, Robert Cox explores the terrain similar to that in Below The Horizon. It's like a vivid portrait of daily life in a hobbyist or part - time musician's recording studio. At times, it comments on its own musical practice. Some parts of the album show the tourist - explorer aesthetic that later became part of Fourth World music. Other moments, Cox channels an otherworldly feeling, a hauntological reverie that gives an uncanny sense of déjà vu. David Keenan's description of Maher Shalal Hash Baz's music, that it 'feels like sketches of places where we once were, now made poignant by our absence', perfectly fits this album.

To enjoy On Dry Land, simply play it on your preferred music player. You can listen to it while relaxing at home, during a long drive, or when you want to immerse yourself in a unique musical experience. There are no special settings required. When it comes to maintenance, if you have a physical copy like a CD, keep it in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and scratches. For digital copies, make sure your storage device is properly maintained and backed up regularly. Enjoy the album at any volume you like, but if you're using headphones, be careful not to set the volume too high to protect your ears.
