Band leader Colin Huebert (ex - Great Lake Swimmers) makes a remarkable comeback. This is his first new work since 2015's Polaris - nominated Nervous, echoing the soft, textured, bedroom indie - folk style of Siskiyou's well - received 2010 debut. Huebert self - recorded and played most instruments himself, with help from guest musicians like cellist Rebecca Foon and horn and woodwind players Joseph Shabason and JP Carter. The opening track 'Stop Trying' was specially commissioned by NYC artist/designer Stefan Sagmeister for 'The Happy Show' and 'The Happy Film'.
