This is a double vinyl LP release. After the passing of their family's matriarch, June Carter Cash, Johnny Cash and his son, John Carter Cash, started the Unbroken Circle project. It pays tribute to the music of the Carter Family, the first family of country music. The album features fifteen new recordings of Carter Family standards by artists influenced by these amazing songs and Mother Maybelle's innovative guitar playing. It includes Johnny Cash's last recording, 'Engine One - Forty - Three', made right before his passing, and 'Hold Fast To the Right' from June Carter Cash's sessions for the double Grammy - winning Wildwood Flower album. Originally released on CD and digitally in 2004, this album is now available on double vinyl for the first time.
