Description
This 2020 double vinyl LP release, Let The Rhythm Guide, is a fantastic collaborative project. It features songwriters Paul Beaubrun, Jackson Browne, Habib Koité, Jenny Lewis, Raúl Rodríguez, Jonathan Russell, and Jonathan Wilson, along with members of the Haitian roots band Lakou Mizik. Originating from four different countries, the album masterfully blends North American indie rock with the beats and percussion of Haitian Vodou, Spanish and Malian guitar, and Flamenco Tres. With songs in English, Creole, Khassonké, Manding, and Spanish, it celebrates the work of Artists for Peace and Justice in Haiti and was recorded at their Artists Institute in Jacmel on the island's southern coast.
To enjoy this double vinyl LP, simply place it on your turntable and start the playback. When handling the vinyl, make sure to hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. Keep the LP in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. After each use, return it to its sleeve to protect it from dust. If you notice any dirt on the vinyl, use a soft brush to gently clean it. This album is a great way to experience a unique blend of music from different cultures, so sit back, relax, and let the rhythm guide you.
