Kings of the Medway Delta

Following CTMF's Last Punk Standing LP, Kings of the Medway Delta is a unique blues album. I've been into blues recordings since the 1980s. After making a few Chatham Singers LPs over the years, I finally got around to this one. I still record regularly with CTMF, and working on different sounds is just pure fun. It all started when I was listening to Slim Harpo in a cafe and said to Jim from Ranscombe Studios that we should use the echo chamber. The next day, we decided to record! Compared to the previous two Chatham Singers albums, this one has less country influence, no poetry, and a more developed sound. Guest player Jim Riley's fantastic blues harp playing stands out. I've known Jim since 1977 when we were in local bands. He now runs the studio where we record with my drum kit. We've captured that gritty urban blues sound using my old Selmer Truevoice guitar 15 amp, a 15 Selmer bass combo, a '59 Jazzmaster guitar, and an old Hagstrom bass. We got the Chess Studios echo - chamber sound, which I think would make Keith Richards and Mick Jagger envious.

If you're listening to this album, just sit back, relax, and let the authentic urban blues sound wash over you. There aren't any special rules for listening. You can play it at home while chilling, in the car during a drive, or at a small gathering with friends. As for the album itself, since it's a digital or physical music product, there's no need for regular maintenance like a physical object. But if you have a physical copy, keep it in a dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent any damage to the disc or cover.
