This is a vinyl LP pressing. In 1963, for his third Blue Note album, 'Inventions & Dimensions', pianist Herbie Hancock started to break away from the modernist hard - bop style of his first two albums, 'Takin' Off' and 'My Point Of View'. Inspired by Eric Dolphy and Tony Williams, Hancock sought greater musical freedom. He composed a set of brilliant original pieces, each with its own unique logic, discarding the established jazz 'assumptions' of that era.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the LP on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the start of the record. Listen in a quiet environment to fully appreciate the music. When you're done, carefully lift the tonearm and return it to its rest. Store the LP in its sleeve and keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
