Description

This is a limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Tenor saxophonist Johnny Griffin, hailing from Chicago, made his debut album for Blue Note Records in 1956. He led a talented quartet with pianist Wynton Kelly, bassist Curly Russell, and drummer Max Roach through a great collection of original and standard tunes. From the fiery 'Mil Dew' to the laid - back 'Chicago Calling' and the bluesy 'Nice and Easy', Griffin's amazing technical skills and lively swing are evident throughout. The next year, he followed up with two more remarkable Blue Note albums: 'A Blowing Session' featuring John Coltrane and 'The Congregation'.

To use this 180gm vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the lead - in groove. Enjoy the rich sound of Johnny Griffin's saxophone and the great music of the quartet. When you're done listening, carefully lift the tonearm and return it to its rest. Store the record in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its quality over time.
