Hit the Highway

This is a vinyl LP pressing of The Proclaimers' third studio album, Hit the Highway, released in 1994. After a six - year gap since their second album, Sunshine on Leith, this album came out. The Proclaimers are a Scottish band formed by identical twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid. They grew up in Edinburgh, Cornwall and Auchtermuchty and attended Bell Baxter High School there. After playing in several punk rock bands at school, they founded The Proclaimers in 1983. They caught the public's eye when an Inverness - based fan sent their demo to the English band the Housemartins, who were so impressed that they invited The Proclaimers on their 1986 UK tour.
