Here's To Shutting Up

From Mac McCaughan of Superchunk, the making of 'Here's To Shutting Up' was an organic process. For months, we met a couple of times a week in Jim's remote forest - located garage. Starting from scratch, no demos or concepts, just using our regular gear and a Casio to play instrumental music. We recorded the album at Zero Return in Atlanta's Cabbagetown neighborhood, a studio built by Brian and Rob of Man or Astro - man. Brian Paulson joined us as the producer. Originally set for a September 18, 2001 release, the world changed on September 11. The release date shifted a couple of weeks, but tour dates remained. We flew to Japan in October, facing diverse reactions. After returning from Japan, we left for the UK when the US started bombing Afghanistan. It was a tough climate for rock music, but this album is a unique record of that time.

There aren't any special ways to play it, just use your regular music - playing device. As for storage, keep your album or digital copy in a dry and safe place.
