This vinyl LP pressing comes with a digital download. The Essex Green, formed in Brooklyn in 1998, released four albums from 1999 - 2006. They were one of the few Northeast bands associated with the influential Elephant 6 Collective. Their harmony - filled pop music reached its peak with the 2006 release of Cannibal Sea. In the late aughts, Sasha Bell, Jeff Baron, and Christopher Ziter left Brooklyn. Then, they went silent, not because of dramatic reasons but a simple promise to pursue their own dreams: Baron to build a houseboat and sail the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio Rivers; Ziter to return to Vermont for local fermentation; and Bell to study elk rutting in Montana.
