Though the music didn't evolve into a finished song, this simple yet evocative phrase endured. It perfectly suits one of Birmingham's most unique musical acts. Shackelford, the group's founder, main member, and creative leader, is like a pop wizard who brings impossible sounds to life. His self - titled debut as Future Elevators masterfully blends whimsy and seriousness, the fantastical with the everyday. While grounding his lyrics in real - world issues, he fills his songs with fresh and unlikely combinations of familiar sounds.
