This record is related to the last Blackout Beach record, Skin of Evil. Unlike the romantic longing in other works, the songs in Defy Death are like those of deserters and cowards. Reassessing cowardice is a key theme here, with the important lyric 'run away'. It's a bit heavy - in 2011, many kids wanted to live in an imaginary inner beach and party away their troubles. But not all kids ignore uneasiness, and not all music is for kids.

To enjoy this record, simply play it on your preferred music player. There aren't really any special things to watch out for. Just relax and let the music take you in.
