After the tragedies in Paris, San Bernardino, Boston, London, Madrid and more, we shouldn't fear life. The Stuttgart - based music group Human Abfall is back with their second album 'Form und Zweck'. With clear - headed responses rather than panic, they use music to depict humanitarian crises and disasters. Their sound combines Postpunk (think The Gun Club, Grauzone and The Fall) with East Coast Hip - hop (like Mobb Deep, Wu - Tang Clan and Nas), creating a looping, dystopian soundscape. Singer Flávio Bacon's manic dadaist chanting floats over it, narrating Europe's crossroads tragedy in perfect German. 'Form und Zweck' tells the story of life at the end of a cultural age. Some members also play in other bands like Flávio Bacon in The Pillars of the Cosmos, JFR Moon in The Flat Building and JFR Moon, and Bronko Schwarz in Levin Goes Lightly and The Lost Rivers.
