Description
Gentleman Road might seem like a band more suited for South Carolina's Five Points than Hollywood bar - hopping. Yet, they've successfully brought their road - trip vibes, southern twang, and midwestern charm to the west coast. The soaring pedal - steel sound and honest songwriting, which evoke a simpler time, draw people in. This is a real band, no sequencers, samples, or auto - tune. Just pure, gritty country rock the way it was meant to be. The band members include Scott Woeckel on guitars, harmonica, and lead vocals; Charlie Peterson on pedal steel, lap steel, and vocals; Moose McMains on bass guitar and vocals; and Michael Kaufman on drums and percussion. Recorded and mixed at Sanity Sound in Van Nuys, California in August 2013 by Burt Malcuit. Mastered by Chris Athens in Austin, Texas. It's an analog recording, captured on an Otari MTR 90 MKII 2 - inch tape recorder and mixed to 1/4 - inch tape on an Otari MTR 10 stereo recorder, with no computers used. Released on 24 July 2014.
