On this second full - length album 'Falling' for Hardly Art, the Seattle trio explores this idea. The broken cake on the album cover and the soft confetti on the inside sleeve evoke this sentiment. Through incredibly catchy and emotional songs, they delve into the ways of falling in and out of relationships and sometimes getting back together. Recorded at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco with producer Patrick Brown, 'Falling' makes Dude York sound grander and more fully - formed than ever. Its hits would fit right in on early 2000s alt - rock radio between Jimmy Eat World and Third Eye Blind, yet still retain the band's unique sound.
