This set chronicles the remarkable solo career of the legendary American musician Bob Mould. Bob Mould started his career in 1979 with the iconic underground punk group Hüsker Dü, then formed the beloved alternative rock band Sugar and released many critically - acclaimed solo albums. This volume covers the years from 1996 to 2007, starting with his 1996 self - titled solo album and going through his 2006 collaboration with Rich Morel, BLOWOFF. It includes 6 studio albums spread across 8 LPs, such as Bob Mould, The Last Dog And Pony Show, modulate. (first on vinyl), Long Playing Grooves. (first on vinyl), Body Of Song, and BLOWOFF (first on vinyl). Each album comes with brand - new artwork by illustrator Simon Marchner, pressed on 140g clear vinyl with unique splatter effects. Alongside the studio albums is a new compilation, 'Distortion Plus: 1996 - 2007', featuring bonus tracks like the demo of 'Dog On Fire' (Theme from The Daily Show), B - sides, and other rarities, also on clear vinyl. The set also includes a 28 - page companion booklet with liner notes by journalist Keith Cameron, contributions from Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard and Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino, lyrics, and memorabilia.
