Description

This is a vinyl LP pressing. In 1978 at Sam Phillips Recording Service in Memphis, TN, Peter Holsapple came to town in search of the essence of Big Star. After being turned down by Chris Bell, he joined forces with Richard Rosebrough, a musician, engineer, and friend of Big Star. They started recording during off - hours at the studio. Meanwhile, Chilton was busy making Like Flies On Sherbert at the same place. He dissed Peter's work, but Alex promised to show him 'how it's done'. The results are interesting. Alex's tracks match the chaos of Flies, and Peter's songs found their way to The dB's and The Troggs albums. These newly discovered tapes mark a pivotal moment as Chilton moved towards punk/psychobilly and Holsapple went to New York for a 'sweet pop' career.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the lead - in groove. Sit back and enjoy the unique music from 1978 Memphis. When you're done, carefully lift the tonearm and return it to its rest. Always handle the record by its edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. Store it in a cool, dry place, standing upright in a record sleeve to keep it in good shape for years to come.
