This is the double LP version of Cocoon Crush by Objekt. Objekt is well - known for challenging conventions in club music, as seen in works like Objekt #4 (2017) and Kern Vol. 3 (KERN 003CD, 2016). He's also a DJ with top - notch technical skills, crafting complex electronic music stories. Written from 2014 to 2018 in Berlin and on the go, Cocoon Crush breaks away from dance - floor norms. It's an evolution from the youthful Flatland (PAN 060CD/LP, 2014), exploring a more introspective side. Themes of human interaction run through the record, reflecting on complex moods from four years of personal experiences. It departs from Flatland's synthetic sound, using organic materials and natural textures to create vivid and strange sceneries. On this album, Objekt gets even further from his musical influences, showing his purest musical self. It features ghostly synth passages, mind - bending drums, and ASMR - triggering Foley collages. Through careful creation, Objekt takes you on an impressionistic journey through emotions like claustrophobia, hope, guilt, anxiety, and joy.
