Get this limited edition 180gm 1-LP pressing of the three original Chet Baker in Paris albums first released on Barclay Records. It includes Chet Baker Quartet Volume 1 and 2, and Chet Baker and his quintet with Bobby Jaspar. Remastered from the original master tapes, it comes in single sleeves with the original jackets and liner notes. In October 1955, Chet Baker and his Quartet held concerts, especially in France. Volume Two, recorded on October 24, just three days after Twardzik's overdose passing, features Chet leading the quartet with Jimmy Bond, young French pianist Gérard Gustin, and Swedish drummer Nils - Bertil Dahlander. They play eight standards, and the whole session is filled with an unshakable sadness.
