It features Mellencamp's top - selling tracks from his first decade with Riva and Mercury Records, from 'A Biography' in 1978 to 'The Lonesome Jubilee' in 1987, including a new recording of Terry Reid's 'Without Expression'. Mellencamp hand - picked the songs and named the album. It reached #33 on the Billboard 200. Mellencamp made this album and 'Rough Harvest' after moving to Columbia Records as he still owed Mercury two albums.
