Description

In November 1960, trumpeter Donald Byrd led his quintet to the Half Note Café in New York City. They recorded a soulful, swinging, and extremely enjoyable live hard - bop set. Pepper Adams played baritone saxophone, Duke Pearson was on piano, Laymon Jackson handled the bass, and Lex Humphries played the drums. This stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley. Kevin Gray mastered it from the original analog master tapes. It's pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI and comes in a deluxe gatefold tip - on jacket.

To use this vinyl record, first make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable and lower the tonearm carefully. Enjoy the rich sounds of the live hard - bop performance. When you're done, lift the tonearm gently and return it to its rest. Store the record in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. Avoid touching the playing surface with your fingers to keep it clean. Also, handle the record by its edges to prevent scratches. Periodically, use a record cleaning brush to remove dust and debris.
